My Principles
Editing a text does not mean it was fatally flawed or ineffective. Everything can be made better through disciplined attention.
My ethical standards (and those of academic and other institutions) demand that my editing be non-directive. I can be a sounding-board, a scribe, a devil's advocate, and many other things, but never a co-author. My contributions will always be guided by your vision and intentions for your work.
Writing consultations should be affordable and accessible to all. In an ideal world, the process of developing a text would flow from organic conversation rather than a series of transactions. I will do my best to create that environment in the context of our professional relationship.
